Oh, hey! Happy New Year!

Okay, okay. So, I took a break; here’s a quick update:

I went back to finish my second-but-really-first-because-I-technically-started-it-before-LIS-SCI-but-then-again-I-also-changed-my-thesis-this-time-around-so-I-guess-it-is-my-second Masters. Because I changed streams, I found myself in need of another course, so I took the only one available: an English class.

Now (and you probably can’t tell because of my oh-so well written blog), I have not taken an English class in YEARS. Like, since grade 11 (because I am a super genius* I took grade 12 English a year early). So, all of a sudden, I was thrown into a graduate level English class and needless to say, I was a bit lost. However, due to my previously mentioned super genius,** a good prof, a bff who is an English grad, a bf who can breakdown Foucault in one night, and the wonderful Ms. Bishop, I pulled through. Despite several sleepless nights.

Long story short, I had no desire to write anymore than I had to.

Once the semester ended, I thought to myself, “Self, this is your opportunity to write more!” And I was, like, TOTALLY meaning to. Until I got a job. A fantastic job, which I love by the way, but the three hour commute made me hesitant to write.

But then, I discovered the weekend. And, here we are. Welcome back!

** super genius = the ability to bs most of the time.
