Update

I was just told the message that they got ("they" being a reader) is that "girls are useless."


That's not my message at all.


My messages is that being a girl doesn't matter in what you do. It's not a defining characteristic. 


The Massey example shouldn't have to exist. And it's really fucking unfortunate that it does, because if the Massey situation exists, it will continue to do so in situations involving hockey dads and young female players. This garbage will stop once we stop focusing on gender, even if it is to promote gender. By promoting gender you are saying that there is a need for the distinctions. 


Just, play on.
